2005 Toyota Highlander Headlight Bulb Replacement

Good afternoon,
I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander Limited and the driver's side low beam has burned out. I was able to remove the bulb assembly from the headlight in the engine compartment but can't seem to remove the bulb. How do I remove the bulb...it seems like it can be broken without much difficulty.
