Interior Door Handle will not open door

Where can I find replacement parts for the problem above. The door will open from the outside but not from the inside. I think the problem is a plastic part that is broken.

I have a 1999 toyota pre runner tocoma v6. I stupidly forgot to have dealer replace broken plastic surrounding the interior door handle of drivers side.

I tried to rig a brace around the plastic housing, worked for about 2-months, now completely broken.

I am told by dealer that housing cost 30 dollars and is one unit.

I would love to replace this myself, but looks complicated.

Have you had any success? If so can if be done without removing side panel of door?
